How to make Chinese noodle salad recipe with step by step photo – For those who are unknown to Chinese Salad, let me introduce you to this filling dish. It is unlike the regular salads, all of which are a healthy combination of fruits and vegetables. It might seem surprising to you but Chinese salads have fried noodles as their main ingredient.

Serve this Chinese salad with homemade tomato chutney. I have also made some other recipes for kids such as Maggi Noodles, veg manchurian and sweet corn soup

To add texture, I have added blanched veggies to it. Those who are hunting for colours, red and yellow bell pepper are going to do justice to the dish. As for the flavour, mixing of onion and schezwan chutney to it can do wonders. All of this makes for an authentic Chinese salad where flavours, colour and texture forms the hallmark of this speciality.

This salad is my picnic favourite but for my husband, it is his preferred office potluck menu. We just love this gluten-free salad and hope you will like it too!

When I got married to Kamlesh, I discovered that we both have a common food history. Our mothers are blessed with great culinary skills, each having their own style of cooking. While my mom mostly experimented with basic ingredients, Kamlesh’s mom was a pro in home style recipes. Sometimes I really feel lucky to be associated with such great cooks around me. They all have inspired me to cook unusual dishes, one of which is Chinese Salad.

Trust me when I say it is a flexible dish. It allows you to add the vegetables of your choice. Yes, you heard it right! J Find your favourite veggies, chop it and add it to the salad. If you have a weakness for spicy cuisines then here is your chance to add schezwan chutney. I really enjoy a peppery meal, so this chutney is my favourite ingredient. However, if you are preparing it for your kids, it is better to combine less of sauce.

As mentioned earlier, you can prepare this dish the way you want. So if you are in favour of semi boiled noodles then you can easily omit the noodle coating step. Instead, fry it directly.

You will find one ingredient missing in this salad. Ajinomoto, the common element of every Chinese cuisine, is absent in this preparation. Do you know why? This is because it has high levels of cancer-causing MSG in it.

Chinese Salad is so filling with noodles and veggies in it that it could make up for an entire meal. You should try it at least once. Stay fit by savouring the nourishing yet sumptuous salad that takes only 20 minutes to prepare and 15 minutes to cook.
