Pizza Paratha is very popular in kids. They simply love this recipe where paratha is stuffed with lots of veggies. This paratha is though shallow fried but packed with few nutrients value. Thanks to veggies which also makes it a bit healthy food too.
Put whole wheat flour and salt in a large mixing bowl. Add water little at a time and knead the dough till it becomes soft, pliable and smooth in texture.
Put some oil all over the dough and smoothen the dough little bit more. Cover and let it rest for 15 minutes. Meanwhile let’s prepare our stuffing.
Preparation of Veg mixture:
Heat oil in a pan and add all the veggies (Onion, yellow bell pepper, red bell pepper, baby corns, and olives) and sauté it for 2-3 minutes on medium flame. Do not overcook let it be crunchy.
Take a bowl and put mozzarella cheese, boiled corns, Veg mixture, salt to taste, black pepper, italian seasoning and mix until well combined. Keep it aside.
Rolling out the dough
After 15 minutes uncovered the dough and put little oil again and give the final knead before rolling.
Now take one ball from the dough and roll the ball in the palms of your hands and flatten it. Dust it lightly with some wheat flour and start rolling it into a round thin disc/ chapatti.
To make the semicircular shape -Spread some pizza sauce all around the chapatti.
Place the Veg mixture on one half of the chapatti. Sprinkle some chilly flakes to make it spicy.
Close the chapatti with the other half and press the edges gently. Seal it tightly by pressing the edges gently with the help of fork.
Semi circular shape is ready
Refer to the video to watch Rectangular or Square shape.
Take a pan and spread little oil and fry both the parathas in the same time on medium heat. While cooking parathas press it gently with the spatula especially the edges. Fry till they become brown and crisp from both sides.
Serve hot with tomato ketchup or any dip of your choice.
Note: Do not add all the water at once as it might make the dough soft and sticky. Add veggies of your choice.
