Ingredients

Onion
medium size sliced

Tomatoes
medium size roughly chopped

Instructions
Heat oil in a pan and once it becomes hot add sliced onions and cook it on medium flame till it becomes soft and translucent.
Now add garlic, dry red chilly, sauté it for few seconds.
Now add chopped tomatoes, asafoetida, salt to taste and mix it well. sauté it on medium flame till tomatoes become soft and mushy.
Once tomatoes become soft switch off the flame and let the mixture cool down for some time.
Grind it to smooth paste without adding water.
Onion tomato chutney is ready to serve.
Serve with any south Indian dish like Idli, dosa, uttapam.
Store it in an airtight container and keep it in a fridge for 3-4 days.

Notes
You can adjust the quantity of dry red chilly as per your taste. You can also use Kashmiri red chilly for nice colour.
