Ingredients

  • ½ litre Whole Milk
  • 100 gm Vermicelli Sevaiyan
  • ½ cup Sugar as needed
  • 6 piece Almond chopped
  • 1 tbsp Ghee clarified butter
  • ½ tsp Cardamom Powder elaichi
  • 8 piece Raisins Kismis

Instructions

  • Heat ghee or homemade ghee in a heavy bottom pan, when it becomes hot add broken vermicelli ,chopped almonds ,raisins and stir continuously on medium low heat till the nice aroma comes from it and vermicelli becomes golden brown.
  • Pour the milk, stir constantly and bring it to boil.
  • When the milk starts boiling cook sevai(Vermicelli) on low heat.
  • Cook for 15-20 mins or till the milk becomes slightly thickened and Vermicelli become soft.
  • Add sugar and cardamom powder to it and stir till the sugar get dissolved.
  • Serve warm or chilled.

Note:
1) You can add some milk before serving as vermicelli has tendency to absorb the milk.
