Veg Manchurian or Vegetable Manchurian is a, Indian-Chinese recipe which, is favorite among all youngsters nowadays. Being ignorant of cooking method, people love to eat by purchasing from the market instead of cooking at home.
Add all the chopped vegetables in a bowl to make Veg balls and mix it well. Take ½ cup of vegetables for the gravy.
Now add cornflour, all purpose flour, salt to taste and black pepper and mix it thouroghly. During this time veggies will release water which is sufficient to bind them so no need to add water while making balls. Now the mixture is ready.
Make the small balls of the mixture and keep aside to fry.
Heat oil in a pan when the oil becomes hot turn the flame to medium low and adds balls one by one into it. Do not add too much balls altogether otherwise it well get stick with each other and get break so put few balls at a time.
Cook till the balls becomes golden brown in colour.
Drain the balls on an absorbent paper and keep aside.
Dissolve cornflour in a normal water and keep aside.
Heat oil in a pan. Add ginger, garlic, green chily and sauté for a min.
Add ½ cup of chopped vegetables and sauté for few min on high flame.
Add water, soya sauce, black pepper, mix it well and bring it to boil.
Add dissolved cornflour in a pan, mix well and cook on high flame. Adjust water accordingly
Add the salt, sugar and chili garlic sauce, mix well and cook on a high flame.
Add deep fried balls and cook for 2 3 mins over medium flame.
Turn off flame and garnish it with chopped spring onion and serve with Veg fried rice or veg noodles or bread.
