Learn how to make mango frooti at home within few minutes. I have some very fond memories of Mango Frooti from childhood, when a small yellow box would be available at a pocket friendly treat of Rs. 5, which was a very happy thing for us students that got a maximum of Rs. 5 allowance a day. Little things, yet so magical! Today it is not as exclusive to kids, with the vast variety of everything so easily available. But what can still be magical, is Homemade Mango Frooti.

Talking about mangoes, i have also made more of mango recipes, like mango cheese roll, mango lassi, aam ka panna etc.

I always loved mango and mango juice was my favorite juice. Though in North India there is also a thick form of Mango juice known as aamras. There are very minimal ingredients required in this mango frooti making process. I have used alphonso mangoes but you can also use mango of your choice. Taste may vary as per your choice of mango. One thing top note here is that you must taste the mango pulp before blending it. If the taste is sour then you may need to ad some sugar water otherwise normal water will be good.

So today, I will show you how to make mazaa/mango frooti at home with alphonso mangoes with few basic ingredients and next to none prep time. This is a favorite of my children, out of all my summer drink recipes, I am sure you all will love it too.I am not so sure about the original Mango Frooty Ingredients, where am pretty much sure there are preservatives, artificial colors and chemicals that can be shunned, with this simple mummy made healthy Frooty recipe as an excellent alternate. It’s the healthier choice, and will taste as yummy as the original.

You will need, of course, mangoes, I have used the best of organic alphonso mangoes, you can pretty much use any good quality ripe mango of your choice. You can also use a bit of softened mangoes, instead of chunky ones, to have reduced fiber content. And do taste fruit for its sweetness, and balance it by adding a bit of sugar. The mango is fibrous, so be patient if your pulp doesn’t look like the dense, smooth liquid you have from the carton, or plastic bottle. I would recommend not adding Tropicana or Frooti, to authenticate the consistency of the drink, let’s make it organic, shall we? Instead, use a double strain to achieve the smoothness.

I have added a little bit of raw mango, to balance the texture and enhance the taste. If you won’t use the raw mango, you will find the taste not as authentic. So here we are, determined to conquer the authentic taste, to make Mango Frooti at home.

Consider using a large sieve, to keep your job less messy, and arrange the pots and containers beforehand. This is going to be a little sticky situation, so if you want to be ready to answer the door meanwhile preparing your homemade Mango Frooti, you better keep a bowl of water handy, or else your tap handle will be sticky too! (Tried and tested, you seeJ)

Now you can also surprise your loved ones, by checking out my Mango Frooti recipe online, or watch the video on Youtube, and try it yourself. Especially if you have children at home, they will surely love it.
