How to make Chocolate Barfi – Indian Sweets And Desserts

Chocolate Barfi recipe with step by step photo – Chocolate Khoya Barfi is my all time favourite and I usually prepare this Indian sweet fudge in Diwali, the festival of lights in India. This sweet fudge made with Khoya as the milk solid takes the shortest possible time to prepare and tastes exactly like the one you find from the local ‘halwai

I still remember how much I craved for this sweet dish whenever I visited the sweet stalls near my home. It has this wonderfully smooth texture and I was under the preconceived notion that ‘maida’ is used as the chief ingredient. However, the seller cleared my doubts by apprising me about its Khoya content. It was then that I made up my mind to prepare it all by myself.

My first attempt turned out to be a misery since the mixture was more of a gooey and rubbery kind. My efforts went in vain, as I tried making the milk solids instead of purchasing it from the local sweet shop. However, my second attempt was a hit and I still remember the joy of perfecting my Chocolate Khoya Barfi making skill.

Nowadays, celebrations are incomplete without this sweet, thickly layered with chocolate. So if you have prepared burfis made of maida before then I would suggest trying the Khoya version today to impress your loved ones at home. I am sure that this recipe will leave you flabbergasted and you will definitely make it an essential part of your sweet dish menu on every occasion, not only Diwali.

I believe Chocolate Khoya Burfi, with its richness of milk and taste of nuts like almonds and pistachio, can be the best mood changer possible. Preparing it is a lot easier, compared to the traditional burfis that demand immense patience. Do you know why? It is because the conventional method starts with Khoya making and I remember how exhausted I was, the first time I tried to follow that technique. I prefer the easy route and nowadays purchase fresh Khoya from supermarkets.

If you ask me what is the best thing about it? I would say, that it is just another of my easiest recipes that call for no special ingredients. You will only require Khoya, cocoa powder, sugar and your preferred nuts. You will literally feel the creamy texture when you take a small bite of it.

Enough of talking; let us just go straight into the recipe without wasting time. I am sure you are going to love it.
