Left over chapati noodles for kids. Got leftover rotis and don’t know what to do with them? You can save them from wastage with a fun hack. Just like my other recipe “roti pizza”, I am going to show you today another simple yet very interesting recipe, roti noodles. Yes, that is right; you can actually make noodles by simply shredding chapatis.

I first saw this recipe on TV, it’s not really my own idea. However, I did add some of my personal touch to make my own version. I will always remember the day when I first made it. My children could not even guess that was not flat noodles bought from the market. However, there is no fooling my husband with this; he readily guessed what has been done.

Noodles are indeed made with wheat or flour. However, as with conventional noodles, you have to boil it before adding other ingredients, in this recipe, it is the opposite. You are supposed to add the roti last of all. While preparing it, keep in mind that if your vegetables release any water then wait for the moisture to dry out, before you put the shredded chapatis. Otherwise, your chapati flat noodles will become soggy.
