Chocolate cold coffee recipe with ice cream – We all do a lot of running around all day, and things like cold coffee with ice cream is one of the favorite things for many of us that help us keep our head in the game. This is not a new recipe; we all love it, both children and adults. However, instead of having it in a café, you can prepare the same for your loved ones, at home. And for this, you won’t even need an espresso machine, just some good quality instant coffee and sugar will do the magic.

The perfect blend of a dense foamy espresso is made by brewing coffee beans and sugar and a little amount of warm water. The perfect blend is not a deep secret, all you got to do is use the same quantity of sugar and coffee you need to make a cuppa, and beat it, like an egg. As the sugar melts into the coffee, it will create a dense froth. You can use about a teaspoon of warm water to speed the process of melting the sugar, but remember the warm liquid is only to moisten the mixture, and not make it thin, so that you achieve the right dense foamy espresso.

As soon you have the espresso, you can not only make the yummiest cold coffee, but also prepare latte and cappuccino instantly. If you are vegan, or lactose intolerant, you can use almond milk or coconut milk, it will also taste awesome, and won’t impair with the texture.

I need a daily dose of at least 200mls of coffee, and contrary to popular belief, it is actually good for your health. The natural antioxidants in caffeine not only work as a good stimulant, it is also good for concentration and memory, it burns localized fat, so for the long run, it actually helps you lose weight. Cold coffee or iced coffee is less acidic than hot coffee, in turn is actually healthier.

Today I am using vanilla ice-cream, as that’s what I have today, you can use chocolate ice-cream too.

Ingredients

  • 2 glasses full fat milk
  • 1 ½ tbsp coffee powder
  • 4 tbsp sugar
  • Milk 1 tbsp for beating coffee or as required
  • 2 cups vanilla icecream
  • Cocoa powder for garnishing

Instructions

  • Take a coffee mug, steel glass or bowl to beat the mixture. Now put the coffee mixture, sugar and ½ tbsp. of milk and mix it well with the spoon. Mixture should not be thin; it should be moist so gradually add milk as required.
  • Once you start beating the mixture will remain same but after 5 minutes you will see the froth starts appearing so keep on beating the coffee mixture till it becomes light in colour or you can say white in colour thick and creamy.
  • Gradually add few drops of milk if the mixture becomes thick. The more you beat the coffee mixture it will become light and frothy. To get the perfect creamy texture you have to keep patience because it takes around 20-25 minutes. Though it’s hard working but it will come out very delicious. Beating of time may change as it depends upon the pressure you are applying to beat the coffee so be ready to do some muscle work.
  • Once the coffee mixture becomes creamy stop beating.
  • Pour milk in a jar add beaten coffee mixture, 2 cups of vanilla icecream, ice cubes and blend till the mixture becomes smooth and frothy.
  • Take a serving glass, decorate the walls of the glass with chocolate syrup and pour the coffee mixture into the glass. Do not fill the glass too much, fill ¾ glasses and pour some froth and topped the glass with a scoop of vanilla icrecream ( you can also use chocolate icecream).
  • Lastly sprinkle some cocoa powder and serve chill.

Notes

You can also use water instead of milk to beat the coffee mixture.
Adjust the quantity of sugar and coffee powder according to your preference. I am not making strong coffee but if you want can increase the quantity of coffee powder to make strong coffee and in the same way you can add sugar as per your sweetness.
You can keep the beaten coffee mixture in a fridge and use it for 1 to 2 days.
Serve cold coffee immediately as froth settles down.
You can use this beaten coffee mixture to make hot coffee.
