This recipe came to my mind when my children were expecting Momos or Dumplings from me. As I did not have the steamer at home, I decided on Stuffed Besan Chilla Potli, a similar snack but with the goodness of Paneer and vegetables at the same time. I have also made Besan Ka Chilla earlier. You can check this out. However, since it was my first time, I was a little apprehensive, but guess what, it turned out to be a success! They not only loved the cute pouch-like shape of it but also appreciated the luscious blend of onion, capsicum, French beans and carrots. I was taken aback when they did not even grumble about the bean and carrot stuffing in it, which they usually despise of. If you want your kids to relish them like my ones, make sure you chop them off as finely as possible. This way, the taste of Paneer comes out while the goodness of veggies persists.

Once you know the little hacks, the subsequent question will inexorably be- Where to serve it? To this, I would say that apart from kitty parties, you could dish it up on your child’s birthday party or as a lunchbox recipe. I would recommend it even as a lavish breakfast item since it is quite filling and high in nutrient quotient.

Wondering how long it takes to prepare? A maximum of 25 minutes for cooking and 15 minutes of getting it ready is all that this yummy snack demands. I believe and even you will agree that this recipe is undemanding, with every ingredient easily available at your local market. So muster them from the nearest grocery or vegetable vendor and start with it right away.

However, there are certain things that you need to keep in mind. When churning out the batter, add water gradually to come up with a thin consistency. You must be surprised how the snack is sealed beautifully, in the shape of a ‘potli’ without the stuffing coming out. Spring onion takes the credit, the green part of which is used deftly to put together the delectable filling and seal it. Now that you know, all about it, from simple tactics to wise hacks, try your hand at it. Finally, do not forget to share this awesome recipe with your near and dear ones. Let them enjoy this palatable treat at the comfort of their home.
