In India, dahi wali bhindi is very famous. This is made from okra and yogurt. Dahi bhindi is almost prepared in every Indian home. Today,  I will show you how to make dahi bhindi at home in Hindi with this dahi bhindi video. It’s a step by step video.

There are so many recipes of okra along with Dahi bhindi- Bhindi do pyaza, kurkuri Bhindi, Masala bhindi, Bharwa bhindi and many more. Dahi bhindi is made of Besan and yogurt which gives liquid gravy texture to the dish. It can be enjoyed with roti and rice. We have made it the way dahi bhindi by Sanjeev Kapoor.

Ingredients

  • 200 gm bhindi okra or ladyfinger
  • ½ tsp cumin seeds
  • 1/4 tsp Turmeric Haldi powder
  • ½ tsp coriander powder
  • 1/2 tsp red chilly powder
  • 1/2 tsp amchur dried mango powder
  • Salt as needed
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 1 tbsp Gram flour
  • 1 cup Yogurt whisked

Instructions

  • ) Wash bhindi and keep it for half an hour or wipe them with towel to make it dry.
  • ) Now cut bhindi into 1 inch pieces.
  • ) Heat Oil in a Pan. Add cumin seed and let it splutter.
  • ) Add chopped bhindi and mix it well.
  • ) Cover with the lid on low flame for 2 min so that bhindi become slightly tender.
  • ) Open the lid and add all the dry masala. Mix well
  • ) cook on medium heat for 3-4 minutes or Stir fry till the bhindi is cooked.
  • ) Roast besan on lower heat in another non stick pan till fragrant.
  • ) Add bhindi with roasted besan, mix well and cook for another 2-3 minutes.
  • ) Add yogurt and cook for a min.
  • ) Serve hot with roti, Paratha or steamed rice.

How to make dahi bhindi recipe:

  • Wash bhindi and keep it for half an hour or wipe them with towel to make it dry.
  • Now cut bhindi into 1 inch pieces.
