Once upon a time the Pizza Paratha saved my day; I actually used it as a hack to compensate shortage of food at a house party, and the rest is history. Pizza paratha, a contemporary Snacks recipe, is more like Mughlai Paratha, or quesadilla, instead of a topping it has a stuffing. However, since I am using the typical ingredients of a pizza, it is named so. It is a popular snack item, and everybody loves it. It is a wholesome food, and very economic.

An ideal paratha recipe, it is definitely one of the favorite party items at my home, and I love to make it, because it is very simple and non-fussy even when making large portions. I have used typical pizza veggies bell pepper, corn, olives, and onion; you can use your favorites, mushroom, tomato or even add meats. Mozzarella cheese, however is the heart of this recipe and rather indispensable. If you are lactose intolerant or are vegan, then you can buy vegan cheese (please let me know where there is a good availability) or even make your own dairy free mozzarella, I am using regular one.

The best part is anybody can make it; you will not even need a microwave. It is same as making parathas, only, more fun, and delicious. It is a complete food; you can enjoy it alone, or with your favourite dip or sauce, with your favorite beverages, hot or cold.

To bring the right texture of the paratha, take care while making the dough. Use lukewarm water in small intervals to get the ideal soft and fluffy consistency, adding too much water at once can make your dough sticky, and once its sticky you cannot achieve the right consistency by just adding more flour. I am using wheat flour to make it more nutritious, you can use multigrain or plain flour, as you wish.

Even though there is hardly a leftover of this, especially after parties at home, but you can store this pizza paratha and eat the next day. Usually what happens, when you reheat leftover pizza, it turns very hard, but that is not the case with this pizza paratha. However, do not over heat it, take it out of the refrigerator, and bring it to room temperature, then place in half power for short-term intervals of 30 seconds. Even better, chuck the microwave, just brush a little butter or refined oil in your pan and heat the pizza paratha in a low flame.

Enjoy this fun filled Italian and Indian fusion recipe with your loved ones.

Pizza Paratha is very popular in kids. They simply love this recipe where paratha is stuffed with lots of veggies. This paratha is though shallow fried but packed with few nutrients value. Thanks to veggies which also makes it a bit healthy food too.
