Learn how to make roti pizza at home with left-over roti. I always make extra roti’s so that I can make a quick snack like ghee roti or roti wraps. Mine is a “khata-peeta” ghar, and rotis are never wasted here. Meanwhile, one day my little one wanted something different from these for breakfast. So mom needs to be innovative and its time for inventing new roti recipe.

Mom on duty opened the fridge and started thinking, and pizza came in mind. If you ask kids what is their favorite dish they will scream out with the name of pizza. Pizza is an all-time favorite snack of almost all kids and young adults. So I grabbed some veggies, some seasonings and made it up.

Though i have also made one brilliant breakfast recipe with Roti, veg frankie recipe. Must try this!

The pizzas you order in from restaurants are not that healthy to eat on a random basis. So make this homemade pizza as a great healthier alternative, and you know everything that is in it. If I say it is vegetarian, it has no hidden non-vegetarian culturing agents.

Lot people think they can’t make home made pizza, mainly because they are not sure of the exact oven combinations. Here, I am giving you not only the healthiest pizza option, but also using a simple method of cooking it in your frying pan. You can serve this with lehsun ki chutney or tomato chutney

I have also made some other pizza recipes such as Bread pizza, pizza paratha, cheese corn pizza paratha. Go and check these out too.

What i have done is that i have taken a fresh roti, which i made few minutes back and used all the ingredients used in pizza. I used cheese, pizza sauce, veggies and all other stuff. And it came out extremely tasty and healthy too. You can make roti pizza using microwave or a pan. Though the taste may change depending on the way you use. You can use other veggies too of you choice and can make them more interesting for kids. You can add bell pepper and other veggies too.

Roti pizza is no compromise on the taste factor, which can be served as a tea time snack or can be served at breakfast. However, packing it in a lunch box may not be a great idea, as it might get stale. The cheese is the focal ingredient in it, I am using mozzarella, but you can use whatever cheese you have. Consider the super thin base of the roti is able to take the load of the topping well, make it a bit crisp.

  • Bread Uttapam

If you want to make this only for the kids then you can add up with lots of veggies and cover those with cheese which makes it so much healthy and kids are never going to find out what is inside that they will only enjoy the taste of cheese. But please don’t substitute the regular roti-sabzee by just arranging them in pizza form. This hack has been tried and tested, and is a failing trick with my little ones. I have used capsicum, black olives, onion, corn kernels and tomato. You can choose any vegetable of your choice, the actual ingredients of pizza, just the base is roti.
