Wai Wai Noodles Recipe with veggies

Wai Wai Noodles recipe with step-by-step pictures and a recipe video. Wai Wai is synonymous with Nestlé’s Maggi noodles and this is what initiated the Wai Wai Chinese Bhel recipe, which I am sharing with you today. Eaten raw or cooked, I often find roadside tea stalls preparing Wai Wai soupy noodles for the office-goers. Although my mouth waters watching the steaming noodles being served on round steel plates, I never had the opportunity to taste it on my way.

So this recipe occurred to me one fine evening when we ran short of Maggi noodles and I had no other option but to try Wai Wai available at a nearby shop. As always, I wanted to try a different style that would taste equally yummy and also won’t compromise on the healthful part. This was when I decided on Wai Wai Bhel recipe, an instant snack, having sautéed veggie mixture as the flavour enhancer.

Wai Wai Noodles Recipe with veggies

Most of you must have tried on Wai Wai rice noodles recipe with soup, a staple breakfast menu among bachelors and hostellers. To them, this can be a very simple snack, best savoured as a snack item and enjoyed with friends and family. Unlike the Nepali Wai Wai recipe, the Chinese bhel version that I’m talking about is special in terms of the choice and assortment of veggies. Here, I feel chopped potatoes, onions and cucumbers are not enough. Instead, I prefer replacing them with finely diced carrots, spring onions, French beans and colourful veggies like yellow and green capsicum. To me, these not just add to an amazing flavour but also appear colourful and appealing at the same time.

So the next time you search ‘how to make Wai Wai cup noodles’ on Google, try your hand at Wai Wai Bhel, a dry Chinese version of the usual chaats. This is habitually a snack prepared by me when my husband’s friends join us on Sunday evenings or on weekends to watch a match on television together.
