Chocolate biscuit balls can be an excellent treat for children’s party, that is most enjoyable and at the same time can be economical too, if you need a bulk amount of them. I will be sharing with you the simplest recipe, to make awesome chocolate biscuit balls, or “choco laddoo” as it is referred to in my house.

Chocolate Biscuit Balls on a white plate

Kids love biscuit recipes i have many of them like

  • oreo Ice Cream,
  • Biscuit cake,
  • Oreo Milkshake

You can make it with very few, easily available and low cost ingredients, mainly Marie biscuit and coco powder. It does not even require any heat cooking in the stove, or microwave. You can even include children to make this with you, and create some sweet moments.

In this recipe, I am using vanilla essence, but you can also use real vanilla, or vanilla extract. When it comes to flavor, though, you cannot tell apart between good quality essence, extract or real vanilla. I choose the essence, since that’s what I got today, you can use any form you like. I am using it just to enhance the flavor of my choco laddu, it is not even mandatory to use vanilla.

I am using brown sugar as a healthier option, since these candies are eaten in large amounts, this too is not mandatory.

The cocoa powder is the main ingredient here. Cocoa powder and chocolate powder are different, which I try to explain every time. Coco, organically, is just powdered raw cocoa beans, while chocolate powder and drinking chocolate are emulsified, with milk solids and other ingredients. When you want to make chocolate at home, the coco powder is the best bet. Chocolate making is an art, and there are festivals and events taking place in various parts of the world, celebrating chocolate. Just like wine tasting, there chocolate tasting events, which cater to the connoisseurs. My connoisseurs live in my home though, so this festival is set up often here.

Usually, what happens with candies, it is a go to food for children, but it is not essential, and it does not supply any nutrients. Children spend a lot of their pocket money on candies. Shop owners have this typical habit of substituting candies in place of returning the balance money of lose change, and it seems to be indispensable from stationery shopping. Therefore, if your children have a special treat at home, like these chocolate biscuits, that are secretly much healthier than the wrapped candies, they may be more inclined to save their pocket money to buy items that are more essential. Just a thought!
