How to make Achari Shimla Mirch (Capsicum)

Achari Shimla Mirch (Capsicum)

Achari Shimla Mirch (Capsicum) is a preparation where shimla mirch (capsicum) is mixed with Indian Masala. Its a very simple spicy recipe and you can make it easily at home. The strong aroma of capsicum will make your day.

  • 3 Pieces Capsicum (Shimla Mirch)
  • ¼ tsp Methi Dana (Fenugreek Seeds)
  • ¼ tsp Saunf (fennel Seeds)
  • 1 tsp Mustard Seeds (Grinded)
  • Salt (to taste)
  • 1 tsp Oil
  • Pinch Hing (Asafetida)
  • Pinch Turmeric Powder
  1. Cut Capsicum into long Pieces.
  2. Heat oil in a Pan.
  3. Add Methi Dana, Saunf, Hing and sauté till it becomes light brown.
  4. Add Capsicum, Salt and cook till the Capsicum becomes soft.
  5. Add pinch of turmeric powder, Mustard powder and cook for 2 mins.
  6. Serve hot with paratha or Roti.

 How to make achari shimla mirch (capsicum):

  • Start by cutting Capsicum into long Pieces.
  • Heat oil in a Pan.
  • Add Methi Dana, Saunf, Hing and sauté till it becomes light brown.

  • Add Capsicum, Salt and cook till the Capsicum becomes soft.

  • Add pinch of turmeric powder, Mustard powder and cook for 2 mins.

Achari Shimla Mirch

  • Serve hot with paratha or Roti.
