How to make Dahi Arbi Recipe| Indian Vegetable

Dahi arbi is a very popular indian recipe prepared in Indian households. It’s a thick gravy with arbi, cumin seeds, masala and dahi(yogurt)etc.

Arbi is the hindi name of colocasia roots or Taro roots. Arbi is Boiled and then cooked with masala and yogurt.

Ingredients

  • 400 gm Arbi boiled (colocasia roots)
  • 1 cup Curd blended
  • 1/2 tsp Ajwain carom seeds
  • 1/4 tsp Turmeric powder
  • 1/4 tsp Red chili powder
  • 1 inch Ginger chopped
  • 2-3 pcs Green chilly chopped
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 tsp Oil

Instructions

  • First cut boiled Arbi into small pieces and keep aside.
  • Heat oil in a pan.
  • Add Ajwain (Carom seeds), when it becomes golden brown turn off the flame.
  • Add Red Chili Powder and soon after add a cup of water.
  • Turn on the flame and make the water boil.
  • Add Arbi, Salt, Turmeric powder, Ginger, Green Chili and stir.
  • Add Curd and keep on stirring till it starts boiling.
  • Garnish with Coriander Leaves and Serve with Roti.
